Bass guitar tab is an extremely popular way of writing bass guitar music. If there is zero below the line it means the open string is played. A chord is represented in bass guitar tabs by two numbers, one above the other. Just do a Google search and you will have more material than you will ever need. All you have to do is learn and practice. Learn and practice your favorite songs first. Bass guitar is not a musical instrument you can approach without passion. Bass guitar riffs can be learnt from tab books but should be played from the heart.

Question by This could lead to anything: How to reduce bass guitar audio in a recording?
I've got a one-track recording of my band from a live show, and the bass guitar is so loud it distracts from everything else, pretty heavily. Is there a way I could reduce the sound(or erase it completely) of the bass guitar audio in an audio editing program?

run it through a mixer with a really good Equalizer and tune the bass so its not so pronounced. also boost whatever needs it, like weak vocals or a tinny guitar, and re record with the new EQ settings over it, and bam, you have a better track.
if you are recording live though, in the future, you should have someone behind the scenes set the levels and do a good sound check before the show so you get a clean, proper recording from the start.
